The stage was set. The two remaining winless teams met up on Haddington Drive to determine who would finally get a "W". The 0-3 Jesters made the short trip to the home field of the 0-2 Core. Fans from as far away as Denfield came to cheer on the combatants.
In a change from the previous three games, the Jesters decided not to start out the first game by going down 0-10. This excellent bit of coaching strategy paid off, and the Yellow Warriors managed to win a closely contested first game. Both Jester fans went wild.
Game 2 was another close one, with excellent bumping and passing being displayed on both sides of the net. In the end, the Jesters managed to survive several Core rallies, won the game and the match.
Game 3 was just for fun, and was eventually called on account of darkness. Final score 83-83.
The Jesters travelled back to the Court to celebrate with a bonfire and some pizzas. Unfortunately, Luke's Pizza did such a terrible job of delivering said pizzas in anything resembling a reasonable amount of time that they will never be the official pizza of Jester Volleyball. So there!
