What a night for volleyball. With foreboding weather, scary spikes from above from players and mother nature. It was a great night in terms of some of the best volleyball match up of the season. Very tight match with some excellent volleys, strategizin, hittin, bumpin, slippin, sliddin, gigglin, spikin, and moving. The Destroyers used the emotion of the home court moving (literally as the Price Ranch was being packed up into the moving truck) to their advantage (OK, I exaggerate, but it makes a good story) and took a very closely contested and matched games
| Team | Game 1 | Game 2 | Game 3 |
| Crusaders | 18 | 21 | 21 |
| Destroyers | 21 | 19 | 17 |
Game 2 and 3 were played at the Lombardi Estate on Monday 08/18/2008 and were 2 very competitive games. There were many guys wanting to wear the Misty May outfit, thank goodness they didn’t. JTB (as in John The Bartender) made sure that their were appropriate amounts of distilled beverages. One knee was tweaked, no blood observed, a few bruised egos or pouts (from both teams).
Great hits, Bad Hits, Tremendous Serves followed by not so good serves, spikes, bumps, digs, grunts, cussing (under breath for sure), smiles, frowns. It was a Ying-Yang kinda night.
No Wang Chung tonight.
